Crafted in Bhutan with juniper sourced from the Himalayan peaks, this gin is rooted in a strong sense of place, and that essence guided the entire packaging design. We wanted the visuals to reflect where the gin comes from, both geographically and culturally.
The bottle label features a hand-drawn illustration inspired by traditional Bhutanese painting styles, reinterpreted through a modern stroke-based approach. The artwork depicts a floating Himalayan mountain with water cascading from its peaks and clouds surrounding it; an iconic expression of Bhutan’s landscape and symbolism. The line-art style maintains the elegance of Bhutanese motifs while giving the design a clean, contemporary edge.
For the packaging container, we drew inspiration from the Jandhom (or Palang); the traditional Bhutanese vessel used to store local wine, allowing the structural design to echo Bhutanese craftsmanship.
